XXII. International Festival Mitte Europa 2013
German-Czech cultural project from June 16th until August 4th 2013
Experience together with us marvelous moments and musical highlights in a unique festival region.
From June 16th until August 4th 2013 prestigious artists and ensemble as well as international stars will accept again in about 60 events (classical music, jazz, klezmer, folk music, literature, fine arts, workshops and symposiums) the call of the border-crossing festival in the geographical middle of Europe, the 3-country-triangle Saxony, Bavaria and the Czech Repulic – to venues which provide the special charm of this exceptional cultural summer 2013 – gothic and baroque churches, medieval monasteries, mines, palaces, castles, barns historical manufactories.
The program philosophy of the 22. festival year traditionally applies to the German and Czech cultural exchange and is supported by the performances of Czech artists in Germany and German artists in the Czech Republic.
Besides national and international top artists the program captivates again with its outstanding projects “industry and culture”, “chime” for kids and adolescents or “young artists forum” with stars of the young cultural scene.
