Czech Association of Music Festivals

The International Organ Festival was found in 1969. Since that time, the festival has been regularly organized by the Moravian Philharmonic in Olomouc. Over the years this parade of organ music and compositions has attained wide popularity not only among the general public but also with the professionals from all over the world. The well-known Engler´s organ in the Church of St. Moriss imparts its sonic eminence for the prominent world organ musicians who come regularly to Olomouc to hold their organ concerts. Festival concerts are a major attraction not only for Olomouc and the adjoining regions but also for the international audience. Olomouc has thus attained the status of a real organ centre and holds, annually, the very best organ music display by the leading Czech as well as international organists.
