Peter Dvorský International Music Festival
4th – 18th August 2012The Peter Dvorský International Music Festival is an outstanding summer open-air festival, which attracts thousands of people in August every year to the castle park in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou, Telč castle and the historical brew-house Dalešice. The festival named after one of the most successful tenors of his generation Peter Dvorský was established further to the historical music tradition of the city and chateau Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou from Baroque. The dramaturgy is focused on presentation of human voice in different music styles, which allows the festival to present not only opera concerts and performances, but also invite diverse vocal ensembles despite of their genre. Reputable opera stars accept invitation of Peter Dvorský, the artistic director of the festival, to perform at the festival every year. Probably the most important event in the festival history was the Gala Concert of Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballé in 2010. Since 2003 the festival presents multimedia projects (special effects, fireworks) at the closing concerts designed by leading Czech fireworks company Flash Barrandov SFX, which combine three basic components: architecture, music and visual perception. Location of visual and pyrotechnical shows to the unique complex of Baroque chateau and its garden in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou is an outstanding event in the Czech Republic. Information and tickets:
